The 1000 x 1000:Crisis Cash for Artists campaign has been successful to date: raising $300k in three months, and supporting 124 independent artists in the performing arts.

This campaign was established to address the most urgent gaps in the sector and was clearly aligned with our organisational priority of putting Artists Central. Originally designed to run for six months, TNA made a commitment early on to remain responsive and to review on an ongoing basis given the unchartered territory and unpredictable future. Now 3 months in, the national sector has begun navigating reopening plans, while Victoria ­– as at 8 July – has returned to Stage 3 restrictions. The changing set of personal and collective circumstances caused by this global pandemic, and TNA’s ongoing sector consultations continue to inform our work and specifically this campaign.

Since launching, we have identified further gaps, and as we kick off a new financial year, are now in a position to extend the requests for support to Independent Producers and Production Crew in the performing arts.
